Abstract


The author have measured the fluoride concentration of drinking water from 226 communities of whole korean peninsular with ion electrode in order to make some dasic data for preparing the water fluoridation programs in Korea.
@ES The obtained results are as followings.
@EN 1. It was revealed the average of 0.269¡¾0.232 ppm of Fluoride concentration on piped water in korea.
2. It was measured that the average of Fluoride concentration on underground water was 1.026¡¾2.283 ppm.
3. It was estimated that the average of fluoride concentration on spring water was 0.782¡¾2.241ppm
4. High concentration of fluoride as 8.800¡¾8.021 ppm was measured on the hot spring water.
5. The average fluoride concentration on bottled water was measured 0.605¡¾0.681 ppm
6. It was recommened that water fluoridation should be done on piped water in city areas and required the periodic checks for maintaining the appropriate level of fluoride concentration.
7. More detailed investigations for high fluoride concentration of underground water, spring water or hot spring at some particular regions.
8. It was recommended that readjusted as 1ppm of fluoride concentration on bottled water from several areas should be needed.
